The themes of identity, self-representation, the body and labour can be understood in the context of feminist, postcolonial and critical theory.

Betty Leung is a visual artist based in London and was the winner of the 2019 Graduate Art Prize with Interpreter IV. Since completing a MA in Visual Arts at Camberwell College in 2020, Leung has exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery as part of the London Grads Now exhibition. Following this, she was invited to a residency at the Fores Project. Leung has been volunteering at Kilburn Grange Primary in Brent, one of the most ethnically diverse borough in London. She is passionate about making art more accessible to these children. Leung is currently an artist in residency at Metroland Studios until September 2021.
