Bio

Art practice for me is a way of self-education.
Dmitri Aske is one of the most well-known Russian artists with strong urban art background. He started his career in 2000 as a graffiti writer. Since 2005, his works have been showcased at various exhibitions and contemporary art auctions both in Russia and abroad. He has also collaborated with international companies, including Nike, Reebok, Swatch etc. In 2016, the InArt research named Aske the 4th by the sum of the auction sales among the young Russian artists. During the last ten years, Dmitri has been painting murals and making public art sculptures, as well as working in studio creating artworks in his unique technique of multilayer plywood mosaics. His murals can be seen in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Tula, Vladivostok, and other cities while his artworks can be found in private collections and at different contemporary art foundations. During the summer and fall of 2020 Aske’s large-scale sculptures were on display in Zaryadye Park and in 2021 another sculpture was exhibited on Red Square. Moreover, Aske's immense and impressive plywood mosaic decorates the main hall of Leningradsky railway terminal in Moscow.
