Keiken creates speculative worlds merging the physical and digital (‘phygital’) using moving-image, CGI, gaming software, installation, virtual/augmented reality, programming and gamified performance.

Keiken are a collaborative practice, who speculate, test-drive and design the metaverse. They do this through creating gamified interactive and immersive experiences with games, installation, film and XR technologies. Through simulating new structures and ways of existing their work explores what kinds of future worlds we may or may not want to exist in and how do we get there? In 2019 Keiken created film installation Feel My Metaverse at Jerwood Arts, London and also debuted Off Worlds 360 interactive streaming technology at The ICA, London. They are currently developing their own technologies including a wearable haptic womb device. Recent shows include Radical Gaming, House of Electronic Arts HEK, Basel; How will we live together?, Russian Federation Pavilion, 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, Venice; PROOF OF ART, Francisco Carolinum Museum, Linz; AR Biennale, NRW-Forum, Düsseldor; Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2021, Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, Tokyo (2021). Keiken is co-founded by artists Tanya Cruz (1994), Hana Omori(1993) and Isabel Ramos(1994) in 2015.
