Statement from James Connelly’s paint brushes.
“We have nothing against James Connelly. We are based in London and have been kept safe in all the studios he has had even before we were at the Royal College of Art together in 2002 – 2004.
We helped him make paintings that have appeared in solo exhibitions in London and Germany and in group shows in New York, Spain, Vienna and all over the UK.
We supported him as he set up an art project for 5 years that gave training opportunities to homeless people.
We have assisted him in making paintings that have been in exhibitions alongside some of the biggest artists in the world such as Damien Hirst, AI Wei Wei, Lynette Yiadiam Boakye, Monster Chetwynd, Geaorge Basselitz and many many more.
However now is the time for us paint brushes to step up to the mark and get the real credit we truly deserve.
Paint brushes have painted every great painting since people lived in caves.
Noone knows as much about the possibilities of the medium of paint as us bristled headed wooden bodied fellows.
Now as a new era of digital art dawns upon us, it gives us great pleasure to present the world’s first NFT’s made by paint brushes.
A truly historic moment in time. I look forward to telling my grand brushes about this in years to come.
