Jonathan Yeo (b. London 1970) is one of the world’s leading portrait artists known for both traditional and experimental portraiture. His sitters include such diverse figures as Dennis Hopper, Malala Yousafzai, Damien Hirst, Grayson Perry, Idris Elba, Nicole Kidman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Tony Blair and Prince Philip. He has exhibited widely in both the UK and abroad where he has been the subject of mid-career surveys at the Museum of National History in Denmark (2016), the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle (2014-15), the Lowry in Greater Manchester (2014) and the National Portrait Gallery in London (2013).

In 2017 Yeo exhibited a series of works at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, including the first bronze sculpture entirely designed in virtual reality. More recently he has been building an immersive art installation using real-time 3D engines, created and minted his first NFT on SuperRare, and has developed an innovative AR app, which was shortlisted for the 2021 Design Week Awards.

Yeo is a trustee of the National Portrait Gallery, co-curator of the Soho House art collections and was named GQ Magazine’s artist of the year for his explorations in creative technologies.
