Osean is a 24-year-old digital artist from Decatur, Georgia working at the intersection of post-internet culture and fine art. An illustrator from a very early age, he was influenced by the indulgent fantasy worlds of anime-themed virtual games such as IMVU and Gaia Online, and the ways in which social networking and forums on the sites facilitated interpersonal connection.

Osean’s imaginary universe combines art, design, fashion, social media, and gaming, using 3-D animation to give his fictional characters a tangible, dynamic existence within the larger immersive digital world. He has collaborated on visual experiences for major musicians including Offset, Lauv, Trippie Redd, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, and MadeinTYO. During quarantine, he conceived of and created OseanWorld, a universe of myriad psychedelic characters and candy-colored landscapes, all intended to engage viewers and foster a new digital community. Most recently, Osean auctioned his piece DRAGON! In Sotheby’s Natively Digital sale.
