Bio

Braxton’s complicated animation methods are blazing new ground in the field, pushing the art form into unexplored territory.
Jeron Braxton is a director, writer, and animation artist, whose hyperactive short films explore the Black American experience. By presenting political and social messages and flashy graphics combined with dance beats, Braxton creates narratives that extend beyond the reflections of the internet. His powerful animated films push into an unexplored territory of online encounters, providing an unsettling experience to the audience that is both expansive and claustrophobic. In this space, Braxton imbues his work to reflect his own experience as a black man and as a human using technology. Overall, Braxton presents a practice that is led by Generational Z to provide a reflection of the internet.
