Rhea Myers is an artist, hacker and writer originally from the UK now based in Vancouver BC. She has been using the blockchain itself as an artistic medium since 2014. Her work places art historical materials into mutually productive interrogation with the technology and imaginary of cryptocurrency. Rhea is unique among Crypto OGs for her production of code, theory, and fiction developing the same themes as her art. Each new project provides a way in to reflect on a different aspect of this important emerging technology, and on the social and aesthetic materials that it draws in and animates.
